Site Renovations!
|
[2008.08.23]
|
| I'm going to try to get more done on the site. I apologize for the absence of work on the site but I've had a lot going on, with my grandmother passing, working 7 days straight for months at a time, trying to pay the bills... It's been rough, but I was able to add a few more release dates and some miscellaneous info to various sections.
I also took the "Disk", "Cassette", "+3 Disk", and "128" listings off the game list as part of random housekeeping here. I added them thinking it would be great making the list longer, but now I think it's jumbled. I'll keep a record of the different listings, so that I can include the differences on their individual pages. So all in all, the info won't be lost.
I added the search link back into the left sidebar, at least until it starts giving me trouble again. I originally disabled the site search because Entropy Search had a bad problem stretching my table widths, but it doesn't seem to be happening anymore... so hopefully I can leave this feature online.
I also found out that Ojom Mobile (the ones responsible for BTTF mobile) shut down, after making all the games it promised with the exception of BTTF. Sad...

| Jamba shuts Ojom mobile games division
Jamba is shutting down its Ojom mobile games development unit, according to MocoNews.
It means the company won't be developing games in-house any more, instead relying on its relationships with mobile games publishers.
"The games market has matured significantly over the past few years," Jamba CEO Mauro Montanaro tells the site.
"We now already have over 100 partnerships with well-known publishers. Therefore, we no longer see the need to develop our own content in this specific area."
Ojom had been responsible for releasing a series of movie games in recent times, including Charlie's Angels: Hellfire, Men in Black: Alien Assault, and E.T. - The Extra Terrestrial.
However, the company also acted as the in-house developer for Jamba's own-branded games. It remains to be seen who now makes the games for characters like Schnuffel Bunny. If anyone.
